something for the ears

Well, as you can see it's been a while again. Not much I can do about that. I've just been very busy. But I'll try to make it up and give you guys a good music tip.
I've come across a band called Snow Patrol. By now allot of people probably allready know them since the radio stations are playing their single "Youre all I have" on heavy rotation. At least that's the case over here in Germany.
I discovered them when I was listening to the soundtrack from the movie "The Last Kiss" starring Zach Braff who was also responsible for selecting the music for the soundtrack.
He has allready proven in the past that he's got an excellent taste of music when he put together the soundtrack for his movie "Gardenstate".
Anyways, the new Album "Eyes Open" has allot of excellent tracks from which I honestly find it very difficult to select my favorites. But "Youre all I have", "Chasing Cars" and "Hands Open" are at the top I'd say.
Snow Patrol's music is kind of hard to compare. But a mix between Coldplay and Greenday with a bit of Keane might be the best description I can give. It's definitely the best music I've heard this year in the alternative genre.

I should probably also mention their older album, from which the single "Chocolate" found it's way to the "The Last Kiss" soundtrack and got my attention in the first place, is worth checking out as well. Allot of the songs are very good, some even better than the new ones.
